HASP4 Driver Installer: Readme

This device driver installer supports the Windows x86 and Windows x64 platforms. The installer detects the version of the operating system at run-time, before installing the relevant drivers.

The list below includes new features, improvements, and other relevant information.

Operating Systems

32-bit: Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000
32- and 64-bit: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008

Enhancements

Support for Windows 2008 x86 and x64 operating systems.

Note

New updates no longer support Windows 95. Users of this platform need to use an earlier version of the device driver.

Limitations

Ref #10141: In certain cases, existing Windows settings may prevent your protected application being correctly launched.
Workaround:
1. Open the System Properties dialog box.
2. In the Advanced tab, under Performance, select Settings.
3. In the Performance Options dialog box, click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
4. Select the Turn on DEP for all program and services except those I select option.
5. Click Add, then browse to and select your protected application.
